Western Australian Library Technicians Group

The ALIA WA Library Technicians Group:

  • Promotes ALIA and library technician activities.
  • Encourages professional development and communication within local area and nationally.
  • Encourages new graduates through mutually-supportive friendships and recognising the special interests of library technicians.

Planned activities include monthly meetings, workshops, mini-conference, and student conference grant. Based in Western Australia, but open to any member. 

ALIA WA Library Technicians are the administrators for the WALT Conference Grant.

Aly has worked in the Public Library Sector across several roles for the last 6 years. She
sings to kids, writes murder mystery parties, and runs cooking workshops.

They recommend The Locked Tomb series by Tamsyn Muir for anyone into Queer Goth Space Operas.

In the past 6 years Grace has worked at a variety of libraries across Perth, including public libraries, school libraries, and university libraries.

For any horror buffs, they recommend any Junji Ito manga series, such as Uzumaki or Tomie. For a more obscure story of his, they recommend The Long Dream.
